Say Grace (2nd Dec 2009)

today i went to Comtech (near PSA) for a training course titled "Referral skills and Cross Selling"
Was kena arrowed to go there with my colleagues, so i decided to endure and make full good use of this 9am-6pm training.

Training aint that bad, just that the thought of having to get to Queenstown early in the morning kills. the trainer-Kathy was an australian lady. nice lady with a weird sense of humor.

all went well until lunch at 12:30pm. i had wanton mee for lunch. then came 3:30pm. when it was time for another session of selling role play, i felt faint.

at first i thought it must have been my belt. (hahaha. i remembered once i was quarelling with keeliang, and i told him i felt like fainting. the cold war immediately subsided. keeliang though i was too agitated! then it turned out it was because my belt was too tight! he was tricked into hushing off the argument we had.) so naturally this time around, i thought that i must have had a full lunch! so i went to the washroom to "loosen my belt."

then i felt worse. i quickly went to the toilet bowl and out came my lunch. (shant go into the details of it)
i threw up thrice! went back, drank lots of hot water, and felt much better. (fat hope).
the sensation of faintness creeped back. i puked yet another time.
i gave up. told my mgr i had to go off. so i went to the other lobby to check into our parkway umbrella doctor. before i made it there, i puked again. 3 times! this time round, i was literally like a MERLION.

i felt so sick and bad. doctor said 3 other people had come to him that same afternoon because of food poisoning already.

conclusion: i must remember to say grace at all times~

Important date (25th Oct 2009)

IMPORTANT DAY TO REMEMBER!!!!

25/10/09 is a very important date!
It was not my pay day, neither the day i propose to her. But it was the day when karen first time cooked a simple meal for me. What cause her to do so???? Still remain a mystery till now. But whatever the reason is, the food is NICE and EDIBLE!!! Straight after the service we took a cab home to choa chu kang and went straight to the supermarket to get some stuffs. I am so excited as this is our first time buying uncooked food.
Initially i thought we are going to buy a lot of stuffs.

KL: Dear, i go and take basket to put the stuffs.
Karen: okay.

after (Less than 5 min)

KL: i'm back!
Karen: i'm Done!!!!!

i am like huhhhhhhhhhhhhh......... so fast????????
She bought vegetable, jelly (for dessert), chicken and my favorite canned food.
When we go back home, she chased me out of the kitchen.

Karen: go out! dont disturb me! (wonder if all girls do that? There is a saying that kitchen belongs to the lady. ALL husbands, is it true?)
After an hour of washing, preparing and cooking. Its time to grade her performance.
The dishes are chicken porridge, fried cucumber with shrimp, oyster vegetable with mushroom and pork meat.

Grading = FULL MARK!!!!

I am so proud of her! I totally change my perspective of my "princess"!

Looking forward for another meal from her!

Happy and FULL day!

Bangkok 3rd Day (3rd October 2009)

Our 3rd day in Bangkok.
The usual, we had breakfast. oh it was a knockout the night before. We were so shagged by all the shopping plus the superb massage, it felt as if gravity was on all the whole night!

After which, we took the subway to Chattu Chat for an experience.

To me, Chattu Chat was not my cup of tea. At least, i wouldnt go back there again if i were back in bangkok. It was HOT and HUMID. and the things that they sold were very much like Platinum's.

Having said that, it didnt sound like i would buy much right? Wrong. We bought another luggage at some 390 baht. hahaha.

but we left in just a while... to go to.. PLATINUM MALL Again! but this time we took it slow. We went to have ice-cream @ Swensens and mainly why i wanted to go back was to buy this "Christian Dior" bag for my mum which she really liked when she first saw it yesterday.

I bought it and gave it to her as her bday gift. she was so happy! YEAH!

We had seafood thai dinner with Chai Yiu, Pel and their son, Chat Chai.

Finally, we headed back to pack and squeeze all that we have bought into our luggages.
In conclusion, we went there with 4 luggages and returned with 8!
a 100 fold return!

It was definitely a very memorable and enjoyable trip. I certainly look forward to more of such family and friends trip to spend quality time with one another. :)

Credits: Special Thanks to Keeliang who endured throughout the entire 4 days and 3 nights of shopping trip. He never once grumbled nor complained nor got upset having to carry all our shopping bags and walking from one shop to another! You're the BEST! :)

And not forgetting my dear parents who have blessed me much along the trip also! I Love YOU!

Bangkok Day 2 (2nd Oct 2009)

we woke up early morning at 7am (BKK Time)(Sgp time is 1 hour faster)

we had breakfast at our Hotel Uno's cafe. I must say that although the hotel was a boutique hotel, it was "ma que sui xiao, wu zhang qi quan". From bathrobes to hairdryer to cable tvs to safe boxes to even their own TUTU car!

After breakfast, we went to pet shop which was just opposite our hotel. The pet shop owner is a Japanese man and i happily conversed with him with my very super duper basic japanese skills!

Karen: Ohayo-gozaimasu! (Good Morning!)
Man: Ohayo! (Morning!)
Karen: Watashi tachi wa Shingapuroo Jin Desu. (We are Singaporeans!)
Man: So desu ka. *#%$()*&^%!@#%^%)($#!)*%yo(&$#mas&^#$des@!#&(! (I See... blah blah)
Karen: erh...... Hai Hai. (Yes Yes)...
Karen: Quickly pays the money and says "Arigatou Gozaimasu!" (Thanks alot!)
Karen: Jya-Mata! (See you!)
Man: Hai Jya Mata! (Sure, See you!)

paiseh. hahaa. this japanese man tot i knew how to speak Japanese for real and started bubbling lots of japanese words in like 3 seconds! i smiled and acted busy with counting my thai baht. hahaha.

Anyway, check out the new dress that we bought for Aries. Princess Aries! :)

After which, we went Shopping! mummy and I were so excited! i mean that's why we are in Bangkok for! Daddy and keeliang? well i can only say that they are simply the best! :P

We took the subway from Asok to Chit Lom station. It was definitely a better mode of transport than to try beat traffic in Bangkok streets.

Platinum Mall is really a shopping paradise for us WOMEN! Lots of variety at good prices. Plus it is a fully air-conditioned mall. so no sweat! We went there empty handed but returned with all of our hands full!

We bought a luggage for 700 baht as we didnt have any more hands to hand-carry them. Also, mummy had a concern if we are going to have enough baggage space when we return to SGP. so better to buy a new luggage first! hahaha. it was certainly a wise choice!

We had 8 hours of shopping and had to really stop cause our legs were all giving way already!

We returned at 9pm and rushed to do a tantilizing body and foot massage just next to our hotel. we did it for 2 hours! it was like resurrection for our tired bones and feet! we came out at 11pm and headed to Macdonalds for late dinner. then washed up, and played card games for a final show-hand! guess who won? Not me nor mummy. cannot be keeliang. Yes, daddy won surprisingly! he was on a winning streak with "ban-luck" 21 points 3 times consecutively straight in a row and won all our stakes. that ended the night. zzzz

We're going to Bangkok!! Day One! (1st Oct 2009)

alright, finally i m back to blog! :) So enough of all the naggings.. :P

on the 1st October 2009 - 4th October 2009, my parents and keeliang packed our bags and flew to BKK for a shopping fiesta!

Our flight was supposed to leave at 11:30am. We were 5 minutes late at terminal 2 for our check-in. The staff told us that we could fly but our baggages would have to take the next flight which would be 2-3 hours later. We had no choice but to agree. After all, we were going to meet up with my dad's business friends for lunch before heading for our Hotel.

So off we went. We brisk-walked and ran to our boarding gate and thank God, we made it in time! Phew!

So, on-board SQ 972. Personally, it is my maiden voyage on SIA. i've taken British Airways, Thai and even Jetstar but just not on SIA before. The plane was so much bigger as compared to the Jetstar plane i took to taiwan years back. :)

The flight took around 2 hours. despite being so, me and keeliang could not sit still for that short stint. We were just too excited!

We did the usual stuffs like taking lots of stupid pictures. like the mr.bean Vomit paper bags ones.

and then of course, LUNCH!

The food was quite alright. i liked the tiramisu ice-cream! And there after we watched some movies. keeliang watched ice age 3. YAWN~

i watched some forgettable movie. So much so that i cannot even recall the movie title now. hmmph.

anyway, we were glad to arrive at 1pm Sgp time. dad and keeliang went to the customers' lost and found counter to make a report of our "lost baggages" which will only be arriving in the next flight. while doing so, me and mummy went to the washroom. and when we were out, we decided to go to the SQ 972 belt to just check if our baggages were there. like maybe they managed to squeeze our baggage in time? slim as the chances may sound, we were spot on!

we found our baggages and happily collected them! this meant saving lots of time. we didnt have make a return trip to the airport anymore. Thank God!

then, we waited outside the airport - Suvarnabhumi Airport - for Chai Yiu and Pel (pronounced as Burn) --> dad's Thai business friends to come pick us up.

it was a rainy week for BKK. the weather was chilly and the roads were wet.
We went for lunch at some Tesco shopping mall and off we went to Chai Yiu and Pel's factory.
On the road, it was a bumpy and rough ride. luckily Chai Yiu's car was some big tall jeep that was definitely able to conquer those road muds and kurbs.

And Pel taught us some simple Thai. mostly i have forgotten.
except "How Much?" --> "Tao Lai?"

The factory was pretty big. Just completed its renovation a few years back, it was a rather pleasant place.

as dad was going through some business stuffs, off went me, mummy and keeliang to do photo-taking... again! After which, we toured around the factory, went for a sumptous dinner and back to hotel!

Day at the Museum (13th June 2009)

I just uploaded some old photos in my camera. I almost forgot that earlier this year in Jan, keeliang and i made our first visit to the Asian Civilization Museum together after his SIM Duck tour.

As you can see, i wasnt as serious as keeliang (for the first time). i was just excited and enthusiastic over photo-taking at every possible corner and every possible pose! Whereas keeliang was actually carefully reading each exhibit. and just when i stated to "gua mu xiang kan", he turned around and said to me "wah, too chim already, cannot understand." :( FAINT!

Hence after a while, he decided to flow with me and started taking photos instead! haha.

Nonetheless, the exhibits are really very real done. they looked so real!

After a while, everything else looked so much the same. it was all about singapore history.. all the sam-sui woman and the collie workers, their hard life and how small fishing village became the modern lion city today.... *yawns*

Then after, we saw something nice! the yellow duckie! We immediately took out our Duck Tour Whistles!

Then we went to this other part of the museum. they had some props for us to wear. both keeliang and i chiong to try them out.

then we tried very hard to put our camera on auto timer mode and stacked up some displays to put our camera on. Each shot either missed our heads if not we weren't in the pictures at all.

we made so much noise until an ang-moh came and said "can i help you?" haha. we were so paiseh. we readily gave him the camera for a "decent" shot.

Haha. we quickly got out of that place and decided that the museum was good for just a "once in a blue moon" visit.

We were soooo tired! we spent almost 2 hours in the museum to "dao luan". even the security guard came and told us not to take photos in some restricted parts of the museum. :P

At the end of the day, we took a bus back. Keeliang happily posed for this photo... but he did not know that i had secretly stucked the museum entry sticker onto his back..... Opps! :P

Friday the 12th (12th June 2009)

Today is Keeliang's last day before he goes for his 10 days of Singapore-Malaysia Youth Camp.

We had a very looong Senior Leaders forum talk in Naomi room during our Code Red 2 youth camp. It was a very fruitful and good talk and i think these 4 Da Tian Wang and 4 Da Tian Hou will start to subcon for our Main Developer's project. :)

Well, i went home only at 2am and reached home at 2.30am. (thanks to Evelyn for her ride!)
by the time i was about to sleep, it was already 3+am. And then my stomach started to "kroc kroc".
I wasnt hungry, but my stomach felt weird. The next morning, when my dad called me to wake up for work, i simply replied that i had diarrhea. hahaha! I just wanted to sleep in!

True enough, by the time i met up with keeliang to see doc to get mc, i was really not feeling too good.

The doctor concluded--stomach flu. Blessing in disguise, at least i could spend some time with keeliang before he disappears for 10 days!!

i got a new haircut too!

Keeliang was so shocked with his mouth opened when he first saw my hnew hair. haha. gosh!

anyway, we wrote a list of things he needed to bring for his camp. we went down to the mama shop near my house and in the end, we bought nothing except titbits bcos he gave his mum a call and realized that almost everything we wrote, his mum already has them at home!! :D

So from now till next Saturday - 20th June, which is also Daniel and Karen Yeo's wedding, i need to keep myself entertained and busy myself! So to the people out there, any lobang do get me along ya. :)

Cycling @ East Coast (6th June 2009)

Both Keeliang and myself were thinking of how we wanted to spend our Saturday afternoon.
We were both tired of going to shopping or heading to the cinemas. Hence, we decided to do something we have not done together before----CYCLING!!

The weather was fantastic. It was bright and shinny. We got a lift from my dad to ECP.
We had a hearty Macdonalds Meal and even got a free Cup from Keeliang's upsize value meal. Ehem**

After which, we went to rent our bikes. It was so cheap. $6 per bike for 2 hours! So it was just $3 an hour!

We went cycling for 2 straight hours! We cycled from ECP to Bedok Jetty and then until somewhere near to Pasir Ris chalet to watch the aircraft take off!

I was very cautious as I did not want to have any accidents that would leave me bruised and scarred just 2 weeks before my Brother's wedding. Eveything went safe and sound. :)

(i like this picture. it looks as if we are on the deck of a cruise)

At the Bedok Jetty, we saw many many old man fishing. Some caught shrimps, mini fishes and we saw a super uncle with at least 6 fishing rods! He was busy running to and fro to his 6 different rods for a large catch. We followed everywhere he went. i think he must have felt very proud of himself for the more we followed, the more he would flaunt and act very busy....

Keeliang was even saying that maybe 20 years down the road, he would be fishing together with daniel chia, kenneth and derrick...etc. talking about days when we were young. haha.

When we were finally back to return our bikes. guess who we saw... Our MACHO Xue En.. rollerblading with some friends.

We are very determined to make this more often. Economic and Healthy! It definitely beats heading the gym. :)
