Day at the Museum (13th June 2009)

I just uploaded some old photos in my camera. I almost forgot that earlier this year in Jan, keeliang and i made our first visit to the Asian Civilization Museum together after his SIM Duck tour.

As you can see, i wasnt as serious as keeliang (for the first time). i was just excited and enthusiastic over photo-taking at every possible corner and every possible pose! Whereas keeliang was actually carefully reading each exhibit. and just when i stated to "gua mu xiang kan", he turned around and said to me "wah, too chim already, cannot understand." :( FAINT!

Hence after a while, he decided to flow with me and started taking photos instead! haha.

Nonetheless, the exhibits are really very real done. they looked so real!

After a while, everything else looked so much the same. it was all about singapore history.. all the sam-sui woman and the collie workers, their hard life and how small fishing village became the modern lion city today.... *yawns*

Then after, we saw something nice! the yellow duckie! We immediately took out our Duck Tour Whistles!

Then we went to this other part of the museum. they had some props for us to wear. both keeliang and i chiong to try them out.

then we tried very hard to put our camera on auto timer mode and stacked up some displays to put our camera on. Each shot either missed our heads if not we weren't in the pictures at all.

we made so much noise until an ang-moh came and said "can i help you?" haha. we were so paiseh. we readily gave him the camera for a "decent" shot.

Haha. we quickly got out of that place and decided that the museum was good for just a "once in a blue moon" visit.

We were soooo tired! we spent almost 2 hours in the museum to "dao luan". even the security guard came and told us not to take photos in some restricted parts of the museum. :P

At the end of the day, we took a bus back. Keeliang happily posed for this photo... but he did not know that i had secretly stucked the museum entry sticker onto his back..... Opps! :P

Friday the 12th (12th June 2009)

Today is Keeliang's last day before he goes for his 10 days of Singapore-Malaysia Youth Camp.

We had a very looong Senior Leaders forum talk in Naomi room during our Code Red 2 youth camp. It was a very fruitful and good talk and i think these 4 Da Tian Wang and 4 Da Tian Hou will start to subcon for our Main Developer's project. :)

Well, i went home only at 2am and reached home at 2.30am. (thanks to Evelyn for her ride!)
by the time i was about to sleep, it was already 3+am. And then my stomach started to "kroc kroc".
I wasnt hungry, but my stomach felt weird. The next morning, when my dad called me to wake up for work, i simply replied that i had diarrhea. hahaha! I just wanted to sleep in!

True enough, by the time i met up with keeliang to see doc to get mc, i was really not feeling too good.

The doctor concluded--stomach flu. Blessing in disguise, at least i could spend some time with keeliang before he disappears for 10 days!!

i got a new haircut too!

Keeliang was so shocked with his mouth opened when he first saw my hnew hair. haha. gosh!

anyway, we wrote a list of things he needed to bring for his camp. we went down to the mama shop near my house and in the end, we bought nothing except titbits bcos he gave his mum a call and realized that almost everything we wrote, his mum already has them at home!! :D

So from now till next Saturday - 20th June, which is also Daniel and Karen Yeo's wedding, i need to keep myself entertained and busy myself! So to the people out there, any lobang do get me along ya. :)

Cycling @ East Coast (6th June 2009)

Both Keeliang and myself were thinking of how we wanted to spend our Saturday afternoon.
We were both tired of going to shopping or heading to the cinemas. Hence, we decided to do something we have not done together before----CYCLING!!

The weather was fantastic. It was bright and shinny. We got a lift from my dad to ECP.
We had a hearty Macdonalds Meal and even got a free Cup from Keeliang's upsize value meal. Ehem**

After which, we went to rent our bikes. It was so cheap. $6 per bike for 2 hours! So it was just $3 an hour!

We went cycling for 2 straight hours! We cycled from ECP to Bedok Jetty and then until somewhere near to Pasir Ris chalet to watch the aircraft take off!

I was very cautious as I did not want to have any accidents that would leave me bruised and scarred just 2 weeks before my Brother's wedding. Eveything went safe and sound. :)

(i like this picture. it looks as if we are on the deck of a cruise)

At the Bedok Jetty, we saw many many old man fishing. Some caught shrimps, mini fishes and we saw a super uncle with at least 6 fishing rods! He was busy running to and fro to his 6 different rods for a large catch. We followed everywhere he went. i think he must have felt very proud of himself for the more we followed, the more he would flaunt and act very busy....

Keeliang was even saying that maybe 20 years down the road, he would be fishing together with daniel chia, kenneth and derrick...etc. talking about days when we were young. haha.

When we were finally back to return our bikes. guess who we saw... Our MACHO Xue En.. rollerblading with some friends.

We are very determined to make this more often. Economic and Healthy! It definitely beats heading the gym. :)
